Earth Day Celebration of Life

For the climate-aware, Earth Day brings mixed feelings. We want to experience gratitude for our planet and marvel at the magnificence of the more-than-human world. And we too often feel bogged down by grief and guilt for not doing enough, for being human and part of the problem.

This year, I’ve created a space for us to honor the Earth by sharing our mixed feelings and scattered thoughts. In the funeral industry, a celebration of life is an alternative to traditional funerals that welcomes all emotions and sees grief and love as two sides of the same coin. So, this Earth Day, I invite you to celebrate all life by allowing yourself to feel fully and freely with friends.
